3D-Printing: Jenn-Air Knobs

My parents have a beautiful Jenn-Air stovetop as part of their custom ‘hand-made’ kitchen. Some of the knobs were missing, but most had broken, or even partially melted. My mother complained that they broke frequently and were expensive to replace. It was, therefore, my duty to provide them with a suitable and cheap alternative if they were to provide my gullet with tasty meals.

I apologize to my mother for taking this picture without letting her clean first.

I found a few models on Thingiverse that partially fit, but nothing that matched the CVG 4380 model, that they have, completely. I decided to take it upon myself to download Blender and take a crack out my cobwebbed 3D modeling skillset to mod an existing mesh. As a foundation, I used this nifty model by jacob25119, that, funny enough, mentioned the fact that he was tired of these knobs always breaking.

It took me about three weeks to get the size and angles correct to work on my parents, model. There were many failures.

Eventually, after learning a bit of Blender, and making small, measured tweaks, I was able to get it right, and print six brand new knobs.

If you, or someone you know, has the CVG 4380 stovetop and would like a set of new knobs, please feel free to download them below. Thanks to jacob25119 for the original model.
